Following the pattern of the Half Day Rafting Adventure, the Raft & Kayak Adventure kicks off with an exhilarating 1.5-mile descent through the dynamic Class III Shoshone Rapids alongside a guide in a raft. Transitioning from Grizzly Creek, the expedition seamlessly shifts to an inflatable kayak for the subsequent 10 miles. Navigate a scenic route with intermittent splashes and occasional Class II-III waves, guiding adventurers through the towering 1500' walls of Glenwood Canyon, concluding in Glenwood Springs. Covering over 12 miles of river, the Raft & Kayak Adventure promises an ideal mix of whitewater thrills, breathtaking scenery, and moments of relaxation—an inclusive experience for all. Participants must be 15 years or older, or accompanied by an adult, to partake in the kayaking segment.

We highly recommend the Glenwood Canyon Rafting Adventure if you seek more independence and a heightened sense of adventure compared to the Half Day Adventure. Participants embark on an exhilarating journey in a raft from the Shoshone Boat Ramp to the Grizzly Creek Boat Ramp, encountering the excitement of the Shoshone Rapids and the thrill of Class III whitewater. Upon reaching Grizzly Creek, you transition to an inflatable kayak (with options for one person or two people) and continue the remaining 10 miles downstream, all while enjoying the comfort of having river guides in close proximity. Families and groups often combine this trip with the Half Day Adventure, providing another avenue to enhance everyone’s experience.

This trip begins at the Shoshone Rapids (an app. 2 mile Class III to III+ section on the Colorado River) then continues downriver for approximately 12 miles (average flows), ending at the Blue Sky Rafting private boat ramp in West Glenwood Springs.
